This is a short little jazz instrumental that took me while to get down, and had me chasing my tail to get it to work. Hence the title. I finally succumbed to temptation at birthday time and got myself an archtop jazzer just for the job

The composition of this piece came about with me sequencing some drum parts then working a rhythm guitar line round that. I laid down the bass which was a first time attempt.

The guitar and bass line lacked something So I lost the rhythm guitar and worked a  lead sequence over the top of the bed track. After a couple of days experimenting I came up with the opening hook and everything just fell into place.

There you have the final jazz piece for the new album.
