This is a very different song. Out of character, even. This is a rough mix and doesn't have any backing vocals as of yet and the lead vocal is a scratch track. Everything was done here (my studio) including the drums. The story behind this tune goes something like this;
The keyboard player in my band "Harry" had this swing jazz blues piano riff. John (drummerboy) and I came up with the lyrics. This song has always been very plain and somewhat lifeless. I would've scratched it from the CD at one point. I just kept listening to it over and over again and the arrangement came to me little by little. I wrote new bass lines (Jeff hates me) the brass parts and rewrote my guitar solo. After a lot of work towards getting the song where I wanted it we redid the drums. I wanted a trashy drum sound with lots of cymbals in the mix. The vocal lines were more of a challange than anything.
Anyway, here's a sort of filler song on the up and coming CD entitled Rolling the Dice. Enjoy!

This is nice, there is a definite blues feel to those vocals, great voice. Musically I can hear the jazz influence. Great groove a real toe tapper. Enjoyed my listen thanks

Yes definitely more of a shuffle funk blues than jazz. It's not quite the jazz I'm familiar with but there are a few hints of it here and there. I enjoyed the vocalizations and harmonies. Overall I would say nice job and it was a pleasurable listen. Thanks!
