This is nice, I read the reviews and lyrics prior to listening which is a change for me. This to me has a very folk feel. The mood and lyric content has a strong pull for me toward that kind of style. Lovely tune with a sweet vocal delivery. Great collab and an enjoyable listen well done

When I see that the lyrics are included , I always read them first...before listening.Partially an old habit because it took me more than half an hour on the bus before I was home and could hear the music of the record I just bought. But also because I admire lyricists who can conjure up an image in my mind with only the written word at their disposal.
In this case I felt bleakness, a gloomy future and a yearning for the past were the main colours on the canvas.
But hey...it's only my interpretation

Imagine my surprise when I heard the music...an easy-flowing river , gentle waters..nothing that rocks the boat.Nice progression and well played...There was something missing though...In comes the voice of Holley Hall and everything falls into place...I hear the right emotions even though they are withheld... and all the more touching for that, in her vocals. A waft of appealing beautiful harmonies...Goosebumps here...And then the sudden change in the instrumental break...uneasy feeling almost creepy a touch of genius...

Collaborations between musicians only make sense to me if it pushes the song to the next level...So the trick is to find the right person to work with...And that is exactly what happened here...

Nice melody over an interesting chord set. Holley's vocals are really strong with good harmonies. The chord changes around 2.40 add an unusual and effective element to the tune. Everything flows well, with a really clear production and effective arrangement. Great collab!
Cheers,
Richard
