Some great feedback here. Much thanks from all of us. Stellar really... indicative of the fact that you're all great musicians/guitar players and seasoned studio gurus. It is an honor to see meticulous attention to a lot of the production/song construction details. I'm obliged hence to respond with some production liner notes as you touched upon all key ingredients.

1) GCR was at first believe it or not written/inspired around Rush's 'Subdivisions' ; you can hear it in the verses especially in right-panned U2-Edge like guitar riff. Also Viva La Vida ( Coldplay ) kinda inspired me on this in terms of vocal delivery, theme and lyrics. Hope Satriani doesn't come after me now ;p

2) Here's the tuning I used for all guitars; I enjoy making unique tunings to exploit open strings more. In this case I am tuning guitars like violins basically, in 5ths as opposed to 4ths. Additionally the tuning is actually an Eadd9/sus2 chord, sweet and harmonically resonate even without fretting. The strings are {from low to high}; E, B, E, F#, B, E

3) The vocals were tricky but fun since it's pretty sing-songy as far as melody. A lot of the MRI sound is involving they layering/doubling/tripling of vocals but from different mic distances then blending all together to get a natural time-delay-chorusing. In terms of harmony, since I am a baritone I invert triads I often choose to place the 5th-dominant note under the root { 2nd inversion of triad } as opposed to on top of the 3rd since it is out of my range more way up there...more comfortable for me to place it below & this penchant gives a lot of what you are hearing that certain MRI vocal sound. For live shows we use a processor and then Alan and Dan lock up with one of the harmonies as well to make it all sound more lush and as emulative of the recording given a live platform. We are also using now a 2nd guitar player on stage to free me up from trying to play both contrasting but complimentary parts together LOL that was a nightmare trying to do alone. ;p

Really great solid guitar work at the beginning, neat progression. Works fine for me. Fab vocals..nifty cool harmonies. You always have a most unique interesting captivating sound. A bit Brit, some California, some of this and that, just unique; love what you guys do. Great to hear brave new world of music genres unrevealed; you got it. It's all you, inspite of any comparisons I made.
Love the guitar solo, very tastful and with some edge.
This is a GREAT tune. Lots of influences I sense. The vocals simply shine on through this great arrnagement and most fine production. Well thought through. Great lyrics. Fine guitar artistry and like the percussives too; fine music.
EXCELLENT!! -Love this.

Well once again,I have to comment on the vocals.
That mixing, that layering, establishes your trademark sound IMHO.

There are almost traces of Hawkwind about this...
Possibly the tuning, but I think more likely it is the vocal harmony work.

It is indeed a fine track,I could quite happily put on of your albums on my shelf.
Excellent song, but more importantly, excellent relisation of a sound and a way.

You guys reminds me of this band here Transmission, they do rock music like Duran Duran too. The alternate rock gave me a difference feeling, a slow and steady one. Nice one with the guitar transition, love the progession. One might take. With million of love from Singapore. Piperon - One and Only spiritual flute player on Earth.
