4 measures in, right off the bat, that bass kick tone hits the head just right. The modality created by layering the major key vocals with the minor key synth progression borders on discordant, but works and is ultimately haunting and casts the positivity of the vocal melody and lyrics in a context which may be less inspirational than the original song but more appropriate to these unsettling times.
