How I love this gorgeous sounding song of yours...Did you get Tom Petty to sing it for you?...Sounds so much like him.. 
Us humans are always on the 'edge',. This explains much; fine lyrics. Fine guitar. kool harp. "Edge of my chair, edge of mind, edge of somewhere, edge of somewhere unkind"...says alot...world's insane and can drive one insane.
A gentle sung tune with the diacotomy of the theme being more harsh. Like the easy shufflin' percussive, catchy tune...song with much meaning.
We have been on edge suddenly due to media hype, partly from where we've developed a world anxiety.--- just recall when I was a kid it was anxiety in the neighbourhood and school..the media had less affect...who needs that; however one has too much to think about, -hard to turn all channels off...and the mind..."pass the pipe and just give me two TV channels, a drive in the country for a picnic and apple pie and a hug from a loved one"...
