Tristyn, finally i have time to check out some work. The musical backing shows lots of experience... experience in both melody and composition. A bitter/sweet backing that carries soul and would sound great on its own.
The vocal lines are perfect for this backing. Whisper like but following nicely with the melody and the raw nature of some sections brings the track to reality and this is why i have time for tracks where passion and design shows its class.

Very sad but thought provoking lyrics, Tristyn. I like how you started with a thinner, distant vocal and moved to a fuller upfront sound on the 3rd verse. Ray's additions of bass, strings and piano add to the sadness of the song. Good songwriting and performances!
