Its very heavy in sound and topic. The scale used for the songs motifs make for really nice dark atmosphere for the beautifully sparse but effective lyric. Very creative.

A great start with the piano. That bass (standup ?) has a different sound but it fits very well with the song. Again the piano work is super. I also like how the flute floats about. Well done Sean!

Bit of a Lynyrd feel,very nice.
I like the phrase "Burning daylight"
That sums up life's express train fashion.
It's part of human nature for some at least,to get that feeling.
Like something slipping away from us.
Ridly Scott once said he felt chased by a great black dog,and he ever stopped it would catch him.
I get that.
So it's nice to have some of those feelings expressed in classic rock terms.
Some very nifty bass work going on during the leads.
The slide
Well big fan of slide.
Again that dirty southern rock feel to it,maybe a touch of Joe walsh,justa hint.before it goes manic.
Live this song would kick ass.
Studio wise,it didn't do the song justice.
This song has so much more guts in it than the studio brought out IMHO.
