THE DARK SIDE OF THE COIN
By Nathan Wall
IN THE EARLY MORNING RAIN I CAME TO SEE YOUR FACE AGAIN
BUT I WAS SO AFRAID
MIST WAS ROLLING ON THE HILL AND YOUR MISTY EYES STILL WERE STILL
LIKE THEY,VE ALLWAYS BEEN
YOU SAID DID I BELIEVE IT
I SAID I COULD TAKE OR LEAVE IT
JUST GOES TO SHOW HOW I WAS WRONG
YOU DRESSED IN MOTORBIKE LEATHERS
YOU SAID BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER
I SAID NO,YOU WERE ALLWAYS COLD
BUT NOW I ,ME WARM INSIDE
YOUR A THORN IN MY SIDE
THERE ARE SO MANY SIDES
BUT ONLY TWO SIDES ON A COIN
BUT THAT ENDS UP THE SAME
I,ME BACK WITH YOU AGAIN
JUST GOT MYSELF TO BLAME
THATS THE DARK SIDE OF THE COIN
SWINGS AND SLIDES AND SUISIDES ARE IN THE PARK IN THE NIGHT TIME
AND EVERY TIME I OPEN MY EYES
I FEEL YOU CREEPING PAST MY WINDOW
THEN I FEEL YOU SLIDE IN ACROSS THE FLOOR
BABY CAN I HAVE A LITTLE MORE BEFORE I GO
IN THE EARLY MORNING RAIN I CAME AROUND AGAIN
JUST TO FIND THAT YOU HAD GONE
IT CAME AS NO SUPRISE WHEN I SAW
YOUR HOLLOW EYES
THATS THE DARK SIDE OF THE COIN
