Wait to see the past is born
and the light of yesterday's to warn
Peeking through the clouds again
take its hand as you call the end your friend
Columns time their fall for you
in the path the righteous take
Cast the world aside (they'll get over you)
say your last goodbye (the old days are through)
when the storm clouds fade we'll leave the way we came
Spending years getting on
and when you look you will find they're almost gone Walking down the street at night all alone in the flash of a neon light
I'm resigned to fight it off
when distant rays of hope and fate are crossed
I get along with you in kind
I can't help but to live inside my mind

Darn, you guys drive. I really like this -- the keys didn't bother me too much -- well, not at all. I love your sound and style.

Nice tune. vocals are always great mike. for some reason the keys were starting to bother me on this one. I am not sure why. The drums, bass and guitar were driving it well and sound great. chorus has a nice hook!

I am essentially a one-man band. Though I had a band for a while to play the songs live with only the bass player has ever recorded with me. I write, record, engineer, produce, play, sing, mix, and master all these projects on my own. So that may account for some of their deficiencies but at least I get to execute my vision for the songs the way I want.
My goal is to somehow integrate doo-wopp (why did it cross that out?) and late 50s pop melody influences with an Americana roots-based songwriting approach (which I can't seem to get rid of no matter how hard I try) with the experimentation and instrumentation of mid-late 60s progressive pysch chamber pop. A friend of mine recently called it "modern freaked out Americana". I think I like that.
