Song Lyrics
hey look at that big skyit's as far as we can seeand will you step up to the plateand face what's coming your waywith your head held highwith your head held...
hey look at that big sky it's as far as we can see and will you step up to the plate and face what's coming your way with your head held high with your head held high
hey look at that big sky don't it make you feel small just remember everyone you've touched and loved will have a memory of you when you stepped up to the plate and faced what came your way with your head held high with your head held high you made a difference you left your mark with your head held high
hey look at that big sky it's as far as we can see but i will always rememember i will always remember

was saddened to hear of chris sievey's (frank sidebottom) passing. he used to send me encouraging messages via myspace regarding my songs, he particularly liked when i sang about looking up at the stars.
so messing on my juno di i came up with this in dedication to him. whilst working on the song i also found out that an old work colleague willie clark had passed away too, so that influenced the lyric too. hope its not too maudlin but uplifting.

There is something about this that really engaged me - I was kind of waiting for a big stadium blast to come - the whole tone threatened as much - but when it did not come I was well pleased. Simplicity and real feeling here. ftlpope
