Omica are a 5-piece metal/alternative band from Dunfermline and were formed in early 2004 by Darren Phillips and Barry Duff. Since then, the band has gone through several line up changes to get to where they are today but have kept moving forward. All the members share the same enjoyment in writing songs together and playing to a live audience, which is what it's all about!

Each member has their own different influences they bring to the band that create our heavy yet melodic sound, ranging from the likes of Megadeth, Trivium, Killswitch Engage and Avenged Sevenfold to the likes the Deftones, Every Time I Die and Bring Me The Horizon.

The band have recently released their debut 3-track E.P and also have 2 live recordings aswell and have been showcasing these songs amongst others around local pubs and clubs in Dunfermline, including being the only metal band to play Dunfermline's Oxjam event at PJ Malloys. Omica have also branched out their music to the fans of Glasgow with two very well-reiceved perfomances at the Soundhaus with several more lined up in the future.

Omica have also taken the liberty of bringing more fans and excitement back to Tower House Comminuty Centre by organising monthly band nights with a variety of different local bands performing so watch this space!

With around eleven or so completed songs with a few more in the pipeline as well as several more gigs booked after years of hard work, things are finally looking good for Omica and we hope to continue what we're doing for a long time.
