Long time ago there lived a man who amazed us all

he dazzled us with his shows

and made the ladies all go wild
He'd wave his right hand

As he spoke in a low calm voice

his intensity silenced the room

while his body moved back and forth

the subjects started to stare

the room became electrified

then the fellow fell into a trance

Mesmer was a healer

who believed that he could cure them all

Animal magnetism

radiating from his palms

French King Louie the 16th

paid the best minds in the land

to evaluate Mesmer's claims

about the energy coming from his hands

Ben Franklin joined the parade

to carried out his majesty's plan

only to discover that Franz was a fraud

Franz Mesmer's life was destroyed. The Academy of Sciences investigated animal magnetism as practiced by d'Eslon. d'Eslon was Mesmer arch enemy, and it was all a setup.

The commission conducted a series of experiments aimed, not at determining whether the treatment worked, but whether he had discovered a new imponderable fluid.

They concluded that there was no evidence for such a fluid.

Whatever benefit the treatment produced was attributed to "imagination".

The Royal academy considered Mesmer a charlatan all because of their poor understanding of the procedure.

Mesmer was indignant because the commissioners had not come to him with their inquiries, but instead had gone to his Nemesis who of course did not understand Mesmer's proper procedures.

France came down so hard on Mesmer that he became a laughing stock to the public and as a result left France in disgrace. He moved to Switzerland
where he quietly lived for the reminder of his life. What he did not understand at the time was that he was unwittingly hypnotizing his patients.

Pamela Davis once again wows us with her refined songwriting polish and raw musical talent. “Don’t Look Back” is easily her best album yet, featuring 10 songs scored and performed entirely by Davis and an inspired cover of Eric Clapton.
 Her technical complexity in rock instrumentation is the perfect complement to her sultry vocals, and like a well written novel each song flows perfectly to the next, and when you reach the end you find yourself hungering for more. At just over 45 minutes, the songs are beautifully paced and there isn’t a weak link amongst them.
