LONG WARM WINTER
Verse
Cold hard winds are blowing the temperatures are dropping low
Instead of rain or shine the forecast promises rain or snow
Smiles come easy on warm sunny days in June.
If I try maybe I could learn to smile in winter darkness to.
Chorus
So here’s to a long warm winter
Are you going to let me in?
It’s so hard to keep warm in the winter
We all need somewhere warm to turn
(we all need someone to whom we can turn)
Verse
The crunching sounds as I walk through the virgin snow
Bring memories back from my childhood when everything was much much more
The snow would fall like a curtain for weeks unend.
Burying all cars and houses in snow drives as high as mountains.
Chorus
So here’s to a long hard winter
Let the snow fall and lock me in
With mom and dad my brother and sister
It was such a good time back when…
Middle eight
Crystals of cold ice falling
Childrens hearts jump with joy and
Snowmen move into peoples gardens all over town
Brightness of night with stars
The moon is so bright and large
Grown ups curse the cold season is so impractical
Verse
Best of wishes for the holydays and the New Year
A time for making people smile, and children big and small ones cheer
