We lost family this last Spring. First my mom (who at times raised all of us) and Tommy's near adult-son. About that time I had been listening to the Staple Family Singers. Inspired by their greatness and their life stories of prevailing through adversity, I worked up this arrangement and presented it one evening to the guys in the studio. Tommy tweaked the harmonies a bit as only he can do. We then sang the song four times. This is comprised of take 3 with some parts of 4 doube-tracked on Joe's lead voice.
I hope you get out of it what we did in signing it. Death is merely part of a great journey back to the Garden.

What changed in this version vs the old version. The harmonies are outstanding.

Wow what a joy to find a song labelled acapella, actually acapella. As that's the default genre most of the songs that end up there are a result of laziness. But this is the real deal. Superb harmonies. Great work
