It was a night for stars For fires glowing warm A night for quiet dreams For sparkling fields of calm Wispy clouds above Moonlit paths of old Shepherds half asleep Rolling hills of gold.
It was a night to remember A night full of joy And the world would never be the same Oh that precious baby boy
It was the kind of night To gaze into the sky Wonder filled the air Was that a baby's cry? A spotlight was turned on A voice from everywhere The message was proclaimed The Savior now is here
It was a night to remember A night full of joy And the world would never be the same Oh that precious baby boy

Wonky ears and all...can't carry a tune in a bucket. I dug this lyric out of the archives. The original song was much slower(if you can believe it)so I tried to spice it up a bit with the help of a Telecaster in this new version. I recorded it, revisited, re-recorded and it just kept getting worse so I came back to the first one. Here's what Christmas eve may have been like from the mind of an old, dried up singer/songwriter!

Not having heard the first version but just this one, I'd say you made a good choice in reviving/redoing this wonderful X-mas song and lyric. The dual harmonizing Teles sound excellent and so full. For what it's worth, from one old singer/songwriter with wonky ears to another...your song, recording and vocals sound perfect...well done and thanks for promoting the Christmas Spirit!
