Just thinking.........I know, that's unusual....and scary.

But, why doesn't Mixposure have "apps" that people can download?

Things like an app for the Android system for phones, iPads, Archos Tablet, etc. Something that people could take with them. I know there is the "Mobile" tab above but there could much more than that. People love applications on their personal devices that they can just select with out having to browse or search. The app could play Mixposure radio if desired, search the site, log in, and even chat. I would think this could dramatically increase traffic for Mixposure (not that it's lacking traffic now).

Also, what about a browser toolbar? Browser toolbars can be cool and the user could surf the internet AND listen to Mixposure without having any Mixposure windows open.

I know of some Internet radio stations that have things like this and they work well, increase traffic, and would add to advertising Mixposure.

And no, I don't know how to go about doing these, but many sites do them and are pretty popular.

What do you think?

Just an FYI Okie - I am starting to look at an iPhone App. If I can figure out the software, we should have something soon. If I can't figure out the software, not so soon lol.

If anything, maybe I can at least make an easy way to listen to the radio shows.

Hey Okie!

I have wanted an apple app for some time. What I lack is the developer skills or the money to fund the build. iPhone Apps can run $2k plus. However you can get the radio station on your iPhone or mobile phone already. The chat room runs on Flash though and Flash and Apple go together like British Petroleum and Louisiana.

I actually had a Mixposure Toolbar some time ago but ended up dumping it. The main reason is most people seem to hate them and the other thing being many require advertising of some sort on them.

I like the ideas though! Maybe it is time I start playing with the SDK for Apple. Maybe I can get lucky developing something for it.

Thanks for the suggestion!
