Flood
1.
Immersion like a siren call
Getting close to where the water falls
Waves are rising over my head
I see the fear of all I dread
-
Inside my mind the dam will soon break
Torrents of thoughts in an oversized lake
Panic is rising in my heated blood
The storm has broken and unleashed the flood
CH
Lost in
A daze
Going under without a trace
Black water
No air
Just a joyride into deeper despair
No rope
To save
One way ticket to a bottomless grave
Lost heartbeat
Cold blood
Just a victim of emotionless flood
3.
It won’t be long before there’s no way back
The odds against me are completely stacked
Can’t stay afloat in this sea of mud
The storm has broken and unleashed the flood
CH
Flood

This is cool stuff. Love that vocal. Reminds of ELP/ King Crimson, loved bands. This takes a few really musical changes. The whole tune works on a lot of levels.
Cheers for the listen in RIch, very much appreciated

Thanks Spaceboy and Farrell for taking some time out to have a listen and provide lovely comments on Flood. Very much appreciated
You have a lot happening in this track. Your good vocals sit on top of it all at just the right spot. The lyrics are quite trippy as in a psychedelic way. All the while the bass and drums keep the flood churning. Well done.
Sounds Great on this end . The vocal track has an immediate intimacy which give the piece a sense of urgency not unlike a live protest gathering. With the nice work on the lyrics & the retro style vocal sounds, these, together with the ostinato, give the piece a driving force which keeps it all interesting.
