Listening to this on Mixpo radio right now. What a cool tune. Interesting from the get-go. Loving the bass. Really nicely done.

A producer, composer, and one-man synthesizer attack squad, Solovox is the sound of Earl Carlton Tietze III. Bringing together elements of melody, emotion, rhythm and keyboard prowess, Solovox is creating a unique sound in the cluttered world of electronica. With electronic music shifting and mutating into forms that are leaving more and more listeners cold, Solovox is delivering something different...and at the same time more familiar to the ear.
Injecting soul, feeling, and a sense of playfulness is the core of the project. Gifted at the keyboards, Carlton aimed at merging modern dance and downtempo production with vintage synthesizers and classic funk stylings. The results are now apparent, as the debut Solovox CD, Break Out Of Prism has been released.
Merging every conceivable style of electronica into a supremely listenable and emotionally powerful experience, Solovox has launched off with Break Out Of Prism. Featuring such talents as Ivan DePrume (drummer for White Zombie), Jen Folker (vocalist for Dahlia), as well as vocalist Lea Krueger, this keyboardist/performer/producer has created a stunning work of melody, rhythm, and sheer guts.
From the hard cosmic funk of "Mosquito," to the Euro-Trance thump of "Am I The One?" to the epic beauty of "All Souls Are Saved," this is the work of an artist too versatile to make a generic "electronic" album.
Solovox has composed original music for A&E, PBS, and various national TV spots. He has recently been added to NIA's new compilation, Sanjana with Thievery Corporation, Badmarsh & Shri, among others. In September of 2006 he kicked off KEXP's NW Electronic Showcase Weekend with an in-studio performance broadcast worldwide. In April of 2007, he won First Prize in YouTube's Turbo Tax Video competition (here). He continues to perform regularly in Portland, Oregon and elsewhere.
