I’ve traveled across the states and abroad.

By planes and buses, trains and cars,

A change everyday as I’m lugging my load,

Not always certain where I’ll land on the road

Staying in hostiles and campsites and cars,

I wake to the sun and I sleep to the stars,

Never a moment that I’ve had before,

 I budget my time and I watch my dollars,

And when I run out, I’m back to blue collar,

I learn to adapt and improvise,

And I know when to be dumb, and I know when to be wise

I’m goin new places and I’m meet’n new friends

I spent some time at a homeless shelter, doing the preparation of dinners/soups.  I met quite a few people there that chose a lifestyle that involved traveling all over, off minimal monies.  They liked meeting people and enjoyed the traveling, and they shared their experiences.  Many of them explained how they were able to manage living the lifestyle.  I was motivated to write a song from their perspective on what they enjoyed doing so much.
