Despite their contrasting musical backgrounds, originating members Sarah and Robert formed Starchild and the Dust in early 2011, when both of their lives were calling them back to music. Although she had been writing her own songs since she was a child, Sarah had no formal musical training and taught herself to play the keyboard by ear. Robert, on the other hand, was a seasoned musician, eager to put his talent and affection for music into a creative endeavor. Starchild and the Dust is the ongoing result of the imaginitive power of its two founding members.

Almost as soon as the band formed, they began performing at local venues, excited to share their passion with those who would listen. They have performed everywhere from street corners to city pubs, farmer's markets to local taverns. Starchild and the Dust brings music to wherever they occupy. Their sound echoes their creative influences, and yet it is a style of its own. Lyrically, their songs are both visionary and reflective, exploring the human experience and beyond. Musically, the sound of Starchild and the Dust is reminscent of 70's rock, though it would be hard to confine this group to any single genre.

Most often, Robert and Sarah are asked "Who is the Starchild and who is the dust?" The answer to this question is, "YOU are the starchild, and the dust is the rest of the world."

Wow. What a great tune. Tight. Vocals sit so comfortably in the music. Very nicely done.
I would love to play this on Saturday Night Rocks, here on MixStream Radio. DJ download is disabled.
Still, what a great song. Love it.
