Heart of Blue
Copyright 1977-2004 Dan Epp
If you don't love me then let me know
And I'll try to find someone new
If you don't need me then tell me now
And I'll be on my way
Chorus
All I needed
was love from you
All I got was a heart of blue
If you don't love me,
Then set me free
And I will take this heart of blue away
I can't help it, it hurts inside
Thinking you want someone else
So if it's true and this love has died
Then this heart won't stand in your way
Chorus
All I needed
was love from you
All I got was a heart of blue
If you don't love me,
Then set me free
And I will take this heart of blue away
Break
Chorus
The touch of your hand, the look in your eyes
Tells me, that this love is gone
But I need to hear it, why can't you say it
And then I can go on my own.
Chorus
All I needed
was love from you
All I got was a heart of blue
If you don't love me,
Then set me free
And I will take this heart of blue away
Howdy Dan...
Great production and clarity. I love melodic chord patterns and vocals...and this one has both. The accordian sound is a nice touch. Most excellent!

hey dan.. a fellow californian.. i liked the title so I thought I'd start here.. reminds me of the great 60s ballads.. beatles maybe.. is that a farfisa organ or a squeezebox? really adds a bit of the zydeco new orleans touch to it.. doctor john.. really a nice melody and you've managed a classic sounding rock song here.. cheers..
This definitely has a 60's retro feel to it. That aside this is a very sweet number in it's own right. nice one
