Spacey, epic, deep slide guitar, mid-tempo chillout blues turning into a type of groove funk. It's also a bit of a bass guitar funk odyssey. Prominently features a collection of pad sounds that transform this into an unusual piece of blues.
Drums come from two intricately programmed acoustic drum kits, no drum loops or additional percussion.
Features mostly (slide) resonator guitar, though there are a number of important spacey, heavily delayed electric guitar parts, especially in the first few minutes (what could be called 'the intro').
Shares many instruments, the same tempo and even some identical guitar parts with its much shorter sister track Pre-Birth Blues, which can be heard at www.soundcloud.com/endlessrotary. Both tracks come from a huge project which has produced at least 3 other tracks still to be completed. All the same tempo and key but also all fairly different and distinct (one a type of dub reggae).
Very complex arrangement but it hopefully all flows enjoyably together and nothing is out of place or too long-winded.
Great track for sitting back and relaxing to, until around 10 minutes, when it starts to get funky.
All playing, programming, errors and happy accidents etc by me.

Oh yeah. For me, this is close the eyes, rest the head, sit-back-and-be-consumed music. This is a wonderful experience. Put together SO well, unfolding so nicely, and every moment enjoyable.
I love it. Every moment.

I've listened again and tried to correct some of those overly loud snare hits but not sure if I've quite done the job (need to hear it on diffeent speakers, I think to be sure).
I will be uploading a slightly improved version of this soon. I've added some extra, gentle pedal hat and cymbal right at the end as the drums before perhaps cut off a bit abruptly. That ending was a real problem for me in so many ways but I'm getter closer to what I want now. What I've done sounds better, anyway.
Glad you noticed the finger snaps instead of snare. Just a fun little detail I tried which worked. So many don't! I'm now actually thinking I should go back and see if they're effective elsewhere in the track. Might do it tonight and will probably find they are.
Let me know if and when you add any other uploads and if you'd like some constructive criticism.
It's amazing how useful some comments can be as I'm all alone doing this and always in so many minds about the direction of every track, every note, drum hit etc. Any track could always have turned out differently. Nothing's fixed and everything can be improved or could be equally as good done in a different way.

6 of 1: Very cool. I love the groove of this. Very much up my street. Excellent work. My only suggestion is that I found beat 4 of 'some' of the snare hits to be a bit snappy and could be dopped back a bit. Other than that, I've nothing but praise for the piece. The guitar work is top class and the production perfect. I love the wide panned synths and the finger snaps. Little touches like this really add to the full flavour of the soundscape.
Nuada.

The review below is for a previous track called Cult Of One. I removed it and replaced it with this completely different one called Six Of One. Cult Of One can still be heard at http://soundcloud.com/endlessrotary/sets. Give it a go - you might even like it...

After a mood setting intro to prepare us for the forth coming events...this track opened up to a vast array of soundscapes filled with soaring and crunchy guitars and cool basslines.....not to mention all the other mind altering effects that confront us during this truly wonderful listening excursion.....at times I felt like I was in a techno club in the UK...at others... a psychodelic realm of the Delta South....all bases covered here...!!...the percussion is constantly keeping us with the flow or transitioning us to the next level with well placed fills.....one cannot detect what lies around the next corner.....but with an open mind and ears....the listener will walk away from this Epic event a changed person....nice experience !!!

Kooder: thanks very much. Good to hear someone feels just the same way I did when making this. And I still feel it when listening back to it. I've said it many times before: I really do try to make every moment enjoyable. I spend many, many hours, sometimes over a few years, getting everthing just right - every tiny element.
The idea is to make every section as good as or better than the last. So I do lots of loose playing and jamming and then edit it down and down until it all sits just right. So it's very processed but, as it starts off in a quite a loose way, shouldn't end up sounding sterile or overly processed. A bit of mess helps give it life and I don't play in the tightest, most precise way so I guess it just comes naturally.
I'm convinced you'll also like the shorter track that Six Of One comes from. It's called Pre-Birth Blues and can be found on another upload page of mine here - http://www.looperman.com/users/tracks/588276
Along similar lines but even better is one called Knee Deep In The Cosmic Overwhelm, which is also on the Looperman site as well as on another page of mine here - http://soundcloud.com/endlessrotary/sets
