chains can not hold me… though binding the flesh as was before my heart was blessed inside these walls… time runs slow will martyrdom… release my soul … to her stark… the stench… intense a dungeon hell no pretense fix my will and pray i… will not waste here away
jailed my cause unjust so said the lords among us dared by freedom’s taste i lie here cold in hunger, awake dissident in agony… a dream diverts my mind suddenly imagining… her body next to mine she comes… inviting she comes… exciting she comes… like lightning… she comes (instrumental break)
SHE i love her very very much and conjure visions that we touch imprisonment insanity so goes this tragedy for me scenes pass… dreams fade… a cold reality remains
hopeless… too late… to wonder what she’d say oh girl… what if… i hold you … and keep you laughing oh girl… what if… i told you … love’s everlasting when occasions come that i don’t understand that i can’t comprehend i lift my gaze to her appealing… one glimpse supplies my mortal need then i think upon the beauty in her face… the wonder of her grace i hope she’s waiting…. where fate is saving… a space divine should i go free
oh… does she see me… like… i see her no… say her eyes in sympathy … down in me deep she can conceive a blade of light… cut through the cracks…and illumine herself
she was the only love can be lonely how can i learn to live this way
chains can not hold me time may disown me why should i breath another day
to live and then to die the heart unsatisfied when will this ever end i fear
i laugh and then i cry the spark inside the eye holds me inside this lucid dream
she was the only one that could show me love can go on beyond this sphere….
she comes oh lord she comes yea… she comes she comes… she comes to comfort me… she she is my light

The last song written and recorded for the album, it's our longest. This track is placed after Hypatia on the album where in context, it's a story of a dissident locked in a 4th century dungeon. Ironically, his will to survive was kept alive only by his thoughts of Hypatia, who had been brutally murdered unbeknownst to him.
Jack Wright played most lead guitar, some of rhythm
Special Guest: Gary Carciello - most of rhythm guitar, some lead

Very, very good. Nice and tight, solid, punchy -- and a vocal that pulls you into the song. This one is not for the weak of heart -- damned good use of dynamics.

Grew up listening to Glen Campbell, Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard. First recorded Live at age 9 performing the 23rd Psalm in Hebrew. Gospel music has always been in my soul and I enjoy Christian themes lyrically while the freedom of Rock and Roll musically flows deep, so I more often than not I tend to meld the two together.
The Alternative 90's was a fresh renewal of my listening pleasure and it has certainly found a place of influence in that place where things sometimes come together to create some special moments and memories that I enjoy sharing with like spirited musicians and friends.
I am lucky to be joined by my soundboard and critic and wife, Celena. Though our 4 daughters are now grown, we cherish the time we spend with 3 beautiful grandchildren: Sydney Rain, age 4 going on 21, Christian, age 3 and rides his electric Harley and bangs the drums and is an aspiring guitarist. Dominick is nearing 2 and Robert Plant only wishes he had this boy's lungs. We have to remove the crystal and wrap it in bubbles and other sound proofing material so he doesn't shatter it all.
Thanks for stopping by and it is my hope you find a tune or two worth listening to.
