Bonjour Laurent! I've been meaning to comment on Stardust from awhile back, but have been so busy. But a beautiful song yet again, and was wondering who did the vocals. You're much better than me my friend! Thanks so much for stopping by, and keep up making the great music my friend.
I'm so glad for our collaboration on this track that I had to tell it one more time. thanks again for your contribution !
If you are interested for a new challenge, I've got a new track: http://projetxion.free.fr/Projet%20Xion/Stardust.mp3
I'm singing on it but don't have your talent
Friendly yours,
Laurent

Thanks again guys. But Laurent get's all the credit for arrangement and production. I simply slopped in the vocals and voice effects and punched it all up a notch. Interesting as to the John Lennon comparison. I usually get 'Pink Floyd', though I hardly know anything by them - other than their hits. I like Lennon and Floyd certainly, and maybe that influence really does come through? Much appreciate the comments again.

Love the vocals...a gentle sound, very cool synth work; love the sounds in the background, people shuffling around. Another day it starts, on to work, then where...this has a bit of J. Lennon style to it; even the voice has that touch. Good welcoming piano, really compliments well.
Your new friend. -Vesa.

This is very cool Steven, it tugs in many directions, classical in spots, ambient and psychodelic in others. Hint of Lennon on vocals, great job!!.
Your productions are always tops with care to all instrumentations. That melotron type string pad floats and flows through me. Nice one man..-Ed

Thanks folks! Laurent is really an amazing songwriter, and I had the easy part of just filling in the words. (okay, maybe not THAT easy. LOL) I didn't know how he would like the 'dark subject matter' in the end. But to me the words were already in the music, and though 'dark' - still makes for a compelling story.

This is a really good effort. It is produced nicely and I like how the song takes it time. I really hear traces of Supertramp in this track which is really cool.

This is an exeptional piece of music. Such a diverse and intresting arrangement. This reminds me of other music but still has its own identitity. Piano parts are sublime in here.. coupled with the very expressive yet relaxed vocals.. and you get a VERY cool musical work

Steven exceptional production and arrangement on this song. Vocals are very effective and work well. Bass and strings are a definite plus here.
No complaints here. Great song!

Steven West has been involved in the Canadian Music scene for many years. From garage bands in the 80's, to flourishing compositional and production work through the 90's. Electronic music is where West shines best. And having released his first 'solo' CD in 2000 entitled 'Electricky', he has definately 'found his sound' of conceptual music and CD's that take listeners on a journey from first track to last.
A pure 'track journey' is West's 2002 CD release entitled 'Metalurge'. And a real 'space trip' can be had with Steven West's most recent release 'Analogistic' in 2003. As of 2008, the long awaited 'Geopoliticking' CD was released exclusively to Humble Voice. Best described as 'experimental pop mixed with commercial radicalism'. Woven into a chilling journey of political, economical, and moral evolution (or lack thereof?) Always daring, never compromising, Steven West delivers.
