Song Lyrics
Little boy where are youHiding behind a maskCome out and play with meAll you have to do is askLittle boy who are youScared to show your true selfWhy do you...
Little boy where are you Hiding behind a mask Come out and play with me All you have to do is ask
Little boy who are you Scared to show your true self Why do you keep your distance Skittish, shy like an elf
Little boy I am puzzled What's going on in your head You often speak in riddles Do you wish you were dead
Little boy you are troubled I will lend you a helping hand Your little boat is lost at sea I will guide you to land
Little boy can you hear me I know you have what it takes You must jump in the water Swim through the dark cold waves
Little boy you can do this When all else is a blur You will run through your half-life Back to who you once were

Wonderful development of that ballad... deeper tahn "Take me Home", but I love both songs in their special way. Hymnic character, "angelic voice" and absolutely nice string arrangement - love the majestic touch of the groove... this is not commercial at all, but much toooooo short!

And what an entrance you make with this song.Great composition with great lyrics adding to the effect.
I like all the little staccato like pauses in the rythm. And the backing vocals that build and build.
The little boy gets right into the head which is half the battle right there. The crescendo was sweetly played and the way you took it all back down made me feel a final chorus was coming...it didn't ! would've worked a traet though !

Of the two numbers here, this to me is the stronger. liked your performance, the modulation on this piece moves around and you managed the changes very well. extremely well done, enjoyed this song

Sweet Annie is the solo project of Norwegian singer/songwriter Hilde Klain.

She started singing and playing keyboards/hammond organ when she was 8 years old. Throughout her youth she sang in a range of choirs and performed solo as a singer and keyboardist/organ player. She would sometimes perform traditional folk songs and hymns, other times more contemporary music.

A move to Australia introduced her to jazz, and she tried her hand at songwriting. She decided to get serious about her music career, and left Australia for Los Angeles, where she studied, got a band together and started doing shows around the city.

Sweet Annie has just come out of the studio recording her debut EP which was released in February 2008. The sometimes bittersweet and melancholic songs are all originals, exploring the subjects of love, loss and life changing experiences. Sweet Annie uses both programming and traditionally recorded instruments to support her haunting and emotional vocals. Growing up listening to artists as diverse as Miriam Makeeba, Joni Mitchell, Abba and everything in between, her own style has emerged and brings an eclectic mix of pop, rock, electronica and jazz to the scene.

Sweet Annie is working with Indian producer, Appu Krishnan, and engineer Mehdi Hassine, plus a range of talented musicians to help her bring out the unique sound which is Sweet Annie.
