Song Lyrics
Ordinary day I thought... today would be something Turns out...it really wasn't nothing at all I dont care, doesn't matter anyway... You dont... have to...
I thought... today would be something Turns out...it really wasn't nothing at all I dont care, doesn't matter anyway...
You dont... have to be a stranger.. You're not... in any certain danger at all Just speak your mind Got something to say....
And It feels..... like an ordinary day And she cries..... in an ordinary way So it seems...... to have a certain appeal Like everythings gonna be alright....
Looks like.... we're in for stormy weather We better.... get it all together Tie down, the things that move Get into a different groove.....
Looks like... another temptation Turns out.... to be a frustration Funny how, the simple things Just get in the way....
And It feels..... like an ordinary day And she cries..... in no ordinary way And that seems...... to have a certain appeal Like everythings gonna be alright..... Gonna be alright......... Gonna be alright.........
I thought... today would be something Turns out...it really wasn't.... nothing
nothin at all nothin at all

Ordinary Day was written on the trip back from a vacation one year...
Everything was going wrong, transmission blew up on the van, sitting on the side of the road waiting for a wrecker, daughter was crying, about to storm and basically everything had turned to crud... for the moment... grabbed the acoustic and this is what came out.

Interesting take on a bad day. Good songwriting. The guitar work is well done and fits right into this song. Ambient mix on the backing intruments - I like that. Nice work. Michael
