I am sure there is a story behind all this - without decrying Dazed's advice, I am an absolute lover of raw unproduced recording (like most Guided by Voices) and it makes an interesting counterpoint to, say, the electronica on the Mix. You could not really do this kind of song and rendition in Europe without it sounding like a parody. Really enjoyed it. ftlpope

Good writing and arrangement but the mix is killing this for me. the vocals are clipping in spots and the overall sound is a bit bright. I would love to hear this with a better recording and mix. You should visit the forum and check out the Recording Studio - http://www.mixposure.com/forum/

What a great story of love and selfless devotion at a time when we all need to hear that there is still that kind of love in the world. Thanks for sharing in such a soulful manner.

I beleive this to be a truly beautiful peice of the highest order as it is. however it remains unfinished. This is apparent in the technical aspects of the recording and also the lyric is noticably underworked. It is an excellent first draft. I would hope to see the finished product.retain the homestyle innocence and folk americana quality by not polishing it up too much.
This peice already appears to come straight from the heart.
