Lessons From History

Well it seemed like she wasn’t gonna find her way back home with me
Unless I made a real impression
So I told her what she wanted to hear – and made a pitch for the cause
I said I was on track to go back for another fortune from divestitures
Which, thank God, she didn’t question
But much to my surprise, with a glow in her eyes
She said “So, baby, what you need from me?”
I didn’t think she’d buy it but I still had to try it just to see
I said this stress is so much – that I could use a soft touch
And she moved a little closer to me! (Yeah!)
That’s when I started thinking maybe we were on the brink of something special
And I didn’t want to blow it
But when I asked her what she thought of my plan
She cited Lessons From History
Every man she’d ever met had a plan or a bet
Hey Tom! Somehow I missed this one for a listen and review? I like that Motown vibe guitar intro! Excellent vocals, lyric, and story. The keys make a nice back drop for the other instruments. Sounds good!

BTW, if you get a chance check out a song Gary Hart and I collabed on called Gypsy Princess.

This is great little number, clever lyrics and some nice instrumentation to hang it all on. I was really impressed with this one well done
Surprised there no reviews here, well done piece here, nice vox, instrumentally well done, kool man, The Ratman!
