She's hitchin' to Mississippi... where else,- the once home of Tampa Red, great late slide player. But never too late to revitalize his musical phrasing.
She wanted to take me to dem crossroads, wasn't ready...so I let her off, Hoodoo Voodoo struck me..and went on returning soon enough before sunset to sit on my back porch...rye an 7up and no hound dog, Yep, she might have been the 'Delta Lady',-- well later I'l be likely to face the crossroads, too young still...maybe never too young...
