Whoa.....So many good wishes...I knew I had them as Joe kept me posted but to actually be here reading them warms me completely. I don`t know how to thank you all as I`m overwhelmed.
Well, I`m not sure if any of you will come back here now that it`s long moved off of the front page but I`ll just say that the stone was zapped by ultrasound waves...eheheee...I`m pleased it was sound and that they did`nt just go in and crush it with tongs or something...There`s still a little piece of stone that needs to find it`s way out...I went for an xray this morning and it`s taking it`s time...I have to go back for another xray on Friday...Hopefully if I drink plenty of water, and as Gina suggested, cranberry juice it`ll find it`s way to the sea...

well i do have better news this evening.. thank you all.. the ordeal of drips and needles is over but the drainage bag is
still at her side.. however she's in much brighter spirits now and that is the important part.. not get dragged down..
another couple days in front of her though to make sure she's out of infection danger and to get the stone.. thanks everyone..
I know your concern means a whole lot to her.. here we are in switzerworld.. all alone.. foreign language all around.. lol..
Hey Joe, just checked in here to see how things were going. I hope things take a turn for the better soon. Please tell Margot that you and she are in our thoughts and prayers here.

well first of all thank you from me my friends.. 2ndly and most important I hope you all know how your kind words and well wishes have cheered margot up.. her smile of recognition and thanks at each name that i read off the list to her was just beautiful.. she thanks you all so much..
update? I'm afraid things get worse before they get better.. one might be tempted to think that hospitals now days are businesses after all.. like a hotel.. they are happy to keep guests as long as possible.. so what started as a realtively straight forward kidney stone has now become a serious blood infection necessitating the need to put a whole in her side and a tube to drain a kidney.. what should have taken twenty minutes took 2 hours and 9 needles.. a horror for our girl i know because i waited for her to come back to her room the whole time.. she wouldn't have made a good junkie as they can't find a vein easily.. when I was there last night her forearm started to swell and the nurse discovered the IV had slipped and was putting the drip into her arm - not her vein!.. oh man..
I hope this has an end very soon.. I'm going to call now this morning.. I'll keep you all posted.. sorry for the drama.. I feel such support from you all and am very grateful.. THANK YOU..
let the sweetheart know she has to get better. i'm old and mean and i say so. : )

just got back.. well here's the story in brief.. the extreme pain came from a rather large kidney stone that wants to pass but got stuck at the narrows.. this rock needs to dissolve or be passed within a couple of days or it will be necessary to go in and "crush" it.. as the doctor explained it.. meanwhile they have given her more drugs than she ever had as a hippie she says.. tonight there's a spinach omlette on the menue so she's pretty content for now.. thanks so much for your well wishes, I'll pass them on to her this evening.. cheers..
