It's a friday thirteenth

'round eleventh hour

my heart skips second beat

on my way to justice

bad things that I have done

like booze when over-won

'Barefoot Blues' started off as a blues when I wrote it, on a bus on my way to Dutch high-court on a recent Friday 13th, to deal with the remnants of my rather hefty past. Things didn't go at all the way I expected, I was fully pardoned, all charges were lifted, and when I finished the song on the bus on my way back home, it sort of became an 80's disco-tune.
