'Solitude'
solitude I know
ain't the same as loneliness
'coz every now and then
I seem to struggle with myself
life ain't a bitch I know
though sometimes it's so hard to deal
with you bein' all the time
in my mind and heart and soul
-
can't help it babe I miss your voice
the smile in your eyes I
should be scared growin old like this
though love don't tell no lies
so in loneliness might wait for you
and in solitude I'll surely grow
a hermit meditatin' on all
the future will show...
-
so I carry you around
anywhere I go
'coz nothin' in this life
can replace my love for you
I'll carry you around
a weight sometimes so heavy
I'm tough though 'n gettin' stronger
for the love you got for me
-
hope might equal loneliness ain't
afraid of that because I know
you're with me in my solitude
my promises will show
the true one that I am my love
the one you gave your heart
the one you started dancing with
oooh ages ago
-
so I carry you around
anywhere I go
'coz nothin' in this life
can replace my love for you
I'll carry you around
a weight sometimes so heavy
I'm tough though 'n gettin' stronger
for the love you got for me...
don't care what the future says
don't care about the past
don't care bout bein' lonely
you 'n me we came from far
don't matter what the world will think
don't matter what we do
solitude's a gift that'll
lead me straight to you
