A true song, about a true person. I'd rather not get into details. Anyway, I had written two tracks for a recording session, and we needed a third. The originally melody I had sounded more like Crowded House than soul. Anyway, went over to Billy's apartment a day or two before the recording session. We kept bouncing it back and forth when Billy educed this awesome melody that really hit home. We smiled liked Cheshire cats as we knew what we had come up with. Songs like this don't come along everyday. They are gifts, and Billy and I were simply the messengers. Humbling, but awesome experience. I only hope you, the listener, will capture the same feeling that Billy and I experienced. Reaching out and touching is what it's all about.
