You'll notice this is listed as Game, rather than Soundtrack. This has gotten a couple of rave reviews, and it's already pretty close to me, and it fits my time frame I like to have per song on my Mixposure.
Regrettably - for the first time, I had to part with a song I genuinely liked. I now have to pick between the ones I love, and the ones I can't breathe without. But still, The Roads Ahead, like They May Be Worthy Redux, is posted on my Soundclick, for those interested.
Copy pasting the Soundclick info from Anti-Realität:
Unnecessary side note - the a isn't correct in Realitat, I know - I don't think Soundclick has the character support for it.
And I actually thought that Chorraum von Maschinen was a lot of trouble to write... this one was written on 8 separate days over a period of two months. I finally sat down with this one last night and composed till I got delusional and went to bed... Then roofers woke me up and I finished it today... xD. The 6 days before that only got me a rough copy of the intro to this track. Cleaned up the intro and did a rough draft of the second half to this track yesterday, and completed the second half today.
I have a feeling I'm not done with this one, lol...
~What's with the lazy fadeout?
--That's my solution to the cutoffs of a "First Run". It's showing you the seamlessness of the transition to the "Loop", and it also doubles as an ending for when I want to show off the tracks. Even better for me - I can fit more individual tracks per page.
~Who is Night Joseph?
--Night Joseph is the schitzophrenic comatose incarnation that you fight in ACT I's climax/ending and the first Deep Coma of the game, while piloting the Night Warden. You should probably read my member page blog for a little more info on this guy.
~What is AURA?
--Project AURA is a "Game Skeleton" project I've been working with Haven for over a year. A few months ago it became a solo project as Haven has stopped contributing, though he will still get a fair share of any proceeds from the Game Skeleton project.
~What is a "Game Skeleton"?
--That is a word I developed to separate Project AURA from a Game Idea.
~Doesn't that just mean you're trying to make it sound cooler?
--No. A Game Skeleton should be around 120 pages of typed/written content, plus roughly 30 hand-drawn/digital/painted concepts, and include the fully produced and finalized soundtrack. Project AURA fits the description above, but a website and/or a working demo would not be out of the question, either.
~Then what would a Game Idea be?
--Incomparably less defined than a Game Skeleton on even some of the largest scales. Game Ideas, as far as I know, rarely if ever include any concepts, let alone soundtracks, and even the most defined will cap at about 15-25 pages.
This has a very large sound....and I'm a sucker for choirs and church organs, so I was thrilled with this piece from the start. As the song built with the orchestration and took off with intensity.......I was pretty much dragged right along. VERY COOL!!! Loved the orchestration and the "fade out" gave me a chance to catch my breath......hehehehehehe!! Great Track and a Great Mastering to my ears. That's something I'll never get down.......
Rob
A dramatic opening, this has a tremendous sense of depth and forboding. You put together an excellent piece really impressed with this one well done
