The economy has got me down
The government is full of clowns
Representing my home town
They're spending money left and right
They're printing it day and night
But they well as might
Rub my bald spot
Rub my bald spot
For all it makes right
We're either overworked or unemployed
Either way we're neither overjoyed
But here's another useless toy
Rub my bald spot
Rub my bald spot
Every girl and boy
And no one understands
All the detailed plans
That nobody reads
And no one really needs
Even the Internet can't seem to find
It's filled with losers who are going blind
Why don't you rub on something else this time?
Rub my bald spot
Rub my bald spot
Or you might lose your mind
And no one understands
All the detailed plans
That nobody reads
And no one really needs
Think I'll sit and watch some more TV
Turn the channel to 43
And sing along with Hannity
Rub my bald spot
Rub my bald spot
And set the world free
Rub my bald spot
Rub my bald spot
And set the world free
I like it when musicians don't take themselves too seriously. It's easy to get caught up with songs that are "deep", my hangup is "epic" compositions. It's good for the soul to write a silly song once in a while. "Rub my bald spot" is one of those songs, it has a lovely sound that reminds me a little of Buffet with a hint of Petty. But seriously, how can you sing along with Hannity? Great lyric.
