Back home the crew would always call me Bigg Jigga. When I hit the music scene, back in 1999, Jay-z was already known as Jigga by the industry. I figured it would be appropriate to drop the “A”, and shorten my nickname to Bigg Jigg. I was performing various shows with music acts like Jada Kiss, and the people were connecting with my rap style and feeling my movement. One call led to another call and then there I was, battling and competing in freestyle on BET 106 & Park. I battled freestyle and was the crowning champ for four (4) straight weeks. In being on the cover of 3 magazines in the south, in less then a year. The Voice Magazine out of Florida in October 07, The Sir Magazine out of ATL in March 08 and still present, and The Urban Grind Magazine in April 08; also out of ATL. August-Sept 08 I will be out in Florida's Ultimate Street Elements Magazine and in the midwest's FuShion Magazine as well. Everyday in the life of Bigg Jigg is just like traveling on a train, during which the passengers are always flooding in or out. Constantly grindin’ and always keeping one eye open.
