This project is a collaboration with dancer Jennifer "Jensuya" Carpenter-Peak and filmmaker Robert Peak . Being fans of one another's work, we decided to create a video with Jennifer dancing to my music in West Virginia landscapes. She picked Twilight Sail, one of my bossa novas. While it is highly unusual for bossa nova and belly dance to be combined (I have not seen it done before), Jennifer made it work The video has been added to the Youtube section of my Mixposure page. Hope you enjoy it!
Mixposure's Annual Halloween Song Submissions are upon us again! For the last 10+ years we have done this contest and it is definitely my favorite. For those of you not familiar with this, here is how it works.
Just create you best spooky/scariest song. It can have vocals or not and you can use any genre you like It is entirely up to you. When you post your song, please use a genre of Halloween 2016 so we can track them and post audio players with all of the songs. Around Halloween, we will play all the songs on a radio broadcast.
Please post any questions you have!

Just wanted to let you know we just added something to Mixposure called Groups. You will see it on your page in the menu. This is similar to FaceBook Groups. So I can have a Group called "Gibson Users" and have other Gibson users in my group. They will be notified of new posts in the group. Owners can also email the group.
Please take a look!
hi ho just to let you all know im still around and still doing the music thing ,,reason why ive been unusually quiet this year is that ive been working since oct 2015 on re-creating jean michel jarres first album oxygene ...the reason its taking so long is that im trying to recreate not only the tune but the sounds used by finding the equivalent vst to the synths that he used ...my only rule is that all the vst`s are free downloads and not torrented snide versions .and fortunately ive amassed pretty much all of what he used even down to the ems vcs 3 and the rmi harmonic synthesizer ...the korg mini pops...ive also got hold of some tasty emulated synths like the roland juno`s ,moog`s ,tr 808 ,909 ,tb 303 ,oberheim 2 voice ,arp 2600 . ive got 2 more tracks of the oxygene album yet to do ,,then its back to some original tunage and more long term projects
RavenWest has once again honored us with a new guitar to giveaway! The contest will be on 9/10 and we added a few rules to this contest.
1. Previous winners are not eligible (this means you Rusty!)
2. Must be an active Mixposure Member for at least 1 week. In other words, do not show up from a Facebook post for 2 minutes and get a free guitar.
3. You must have a minimum of 10 song reviews .
4. Must be present to win. We will give it away during one of our radio shows so you must be in chat.
5. We will have a winner and a runner up, much like the beauty pageants. If the winner is Rusty or someone who does not meet the rules qualifications, the runner up wins. The runner up will be the person in chat who responds after the winner. It wil make more sense when we explain this.
More information will be coming. Oh and here is the guitar . View all images here .
I would just like to say Thank You to the people of Mixposure for the honor of making me Artist Of The Month. To say I'm humbled is an understatement. There are so many great artists on this site it's unbelievable. And the people and staff are all hugely supportive for which you have my gratitude always.
From the bottom of my heart, Thank You.
