Hi people.

I'm not the world's most prolific blogger, but here's just a word or two to let those of you who are interested know that my album "Words And Music" will shortly be available as a download from CD Baby. I sent them the hard copy a few days ago and am waiting to hear from them. I could take a few weeks to sort it all out and, I must admit, I'm a little excited about it.

In case you were wondering, the child in the picture is me, aged about three years. Someone said I should have my picture on the cover, so here it is.

Cheers, Phil

This features the bass and guitar of Kev Durham.

One helluva musician in his own right - it was a pleasure and honour to work with him on this track.

Waiting Too Cry continues in my latest acoustic based style as with the rest of the Bridges songs. This song sets out to explore that feeling of lostness (is that a real word and does anyone care if it is or not) .

I can't thank Kev enough for his work on this little tune.

For the purists out there : the structure of this track is deliberatly simplistic : you see lives complicated enough without all the changes.

Seems to we are just falling........................

Sly

I honestly can't get enough of this website, even the blogs give me kicks. So, now that Gears Within is done, what do I do now? Take a break? Will the Sun fail me? No. So I'm on my way to the beginning of my very next album. I won't upload tracks right away, as I just dropped a wheelbarrow of tracks into my playlist here. But, I will let you in on some information regarding the album.

The ocean has always held a strange place in my heart. My very darkest fear is being dropped into the middle of the Pacific Ocean at night with calm seas. Imagining the auditory silence and visual nothingness is nothing short of terrifying to me. I realized in Gears Within that so much of my music is dark and sinister (thanks Margot). With that, I decided to explore that emotion 150%. Imagining with every song that I'm out on those black seas, not knowing anything, but feeling everything. The title of the album is a reflection on how people will view it. It's going to be called Sur La Mer Noire, which means "On The Black Sea" in French. I chose this title because upon seeing the title, some people won't understand it. Upon listening however, it comes to pass that the description doesn't matter so much as the very experience of being in those waters. I'm not sure how I'm going to work that kind of panic into the songs, but it should be really unsettling. Wish me luck!
Just letting you all know that I am to be interviewed this afternoon on a local radio station. The interview will start at 5pm Sydney time (which as best I can work out is 7am GMT/UTC or 3am EST - hmm maybe the odd night owl will be up).

I will be taking some CDs of recently recorded material including some collabs with my friends on mixposure. I will try to get a few plugs in for the site.

Unfortunately there is no chat room or forum on the station's site.

The url for the site is http://www.skidrow.com.au/ and just click on the "Click Here To Connect" button to stream.

Sorry for the late notice and my absence here of late but my mother passed away last week after a mercifully short illness. Mum had 93 great years and was mentally alert to the end. She was a great lady and will be sorely missed, but as she said a week or so before she died "I'd rather have had 93 wonderful years than drag on and have another 7 awful ones".

Am getting back into the swing of things and hope to be on deck more next week.

Cheers

Brian
G'day all, just a quick note, if any one is travelling thru London for a few nites ie around oxford circus etc, just down from there in a lane just near the apple store called kinsgly street, ( i think) is a great pub called Ain't Nothin But. Last few nites I've been comming home around 1.30 am, after seing some great blues bands, Frank Ash band is one of them, and a fellow Lefty as well!!! He played pretty good.

Im so enjoying London, but its gonna be nice to be back home, its been some time since I last played my guitar, so I hope I remember how, as I said before, I looked at the mac book , but now seriously thinging of the Mac book pro, with 2.6 ghz and 4 gigs of ram, 512 for graphics cards, so it should do heaps for me, I prefer the size of the macbook but I want the power of the pro, any one on here use garage band and macs?

Just one more sleep till I'm home, home ward bound, hmm what song was that from????
ENOUGH SAID

THANX NIGEL.

SOMETHINGS GOING TO HAPPEN SOMETHING WONDERFUL.

SLY
Woohoo!!! I just upgraded to Mix. Silver. It's so awesome. As a result of the new found freedom, there I uploaded the rest of Gears Within and almost all of Guides Through Time! There's lots to listen to now

p.s. - If you liked High Tide, listen to The Interloper or Citadel!
