Thanks again for all the reviews, actually I am the drummer and the sound man.
All of these were recorded in my bedroom, that is why the album is called Bedroom Sessions, and actually it sounded kind of sexy... :D
The main artist is Rusty, a super natural human that never had the chance before to play his own thing.
He is one, if not the most prominent guitar player in PR, pretty well known by everyone in the music business down there. Worked in the biggest music store there for 18 years, he is the must humble and noble person alive, I am lucky to play with such an artist.
This exposure is for him,
He deserves it and more.
I will post the recording when we fist sat together in my room. I called the piece Memories, and its only he and me playing for the firs time. I new then that we were going to make great things together and we did.
Rusty, my brother, this is for you...

Hey guys I just wanted to thank everyone. I am not sure if anyone has ever used Alexa before but it is a site that tells you the rank of websites. I was never really concerned with traffic to the site as much as I was about content and the members. I felt that as long as the music was good and the people were friendly, the site would grow. Personally I just wanted it to be fun but how fun could it be if there was no traffic lol.

Anyway our stats have put at us a very respectable level in my opinion not to mention in a very short time. I have my eyes on Yahoo and Google now lol.

Thanks for being a part of this site everyone!

Dazed

I wanted to thank everyone for all of the reviews on DFW's SSTM submission. I am obviously a bit behind on reviews but will be getting to them as soon as possible.

Good to be home!

Admin in training...

DRUM! Interactive Reeling In More Than 10,000 Impressions Per Day Since November Launch
By drummer40, 2008-02-20
San Jose, Calif., -- Enter Music Publishing, publishers of hip, drum percussion magazines worldwide, has experienced strong growth with more than 10,000 impressions per day with its newest title, DRUM! Interactive ( http://www.drumdigital.com), since its launch in November of 2007. DRUM! Interactive's quick success results from several factors: a unique, flip-page format, embedded movies and multimedia, and the diversity of content derived from its highly popular sister publication, DRUM!.
The current DRUM! Interactive cover story features Taylor Hawkins, who reflects on his 10-year tenure with the Foo Fighters backing his best friend, Dave Grohl. In fact, he gives full credit to Grohl for helping him get his life and career together.
At the same time, he discusses the day to-day challenges of playing in a band that already includes a world-famous drummer and breaks down the specific drum parts that defined the Foo Fighters sound.
“There's such a personal, human quality that DRUM! Interactive captures so well,” said Phil Hood, publisher of Enter Music Publishing. “The reader really has the opportunity to learn so much about a specific drummer's style. A good example of DRUM! Interactive's powerful presentation is found in the link to the video drum solo of Grohl and Hawkins together.”
The December edition of DRUM!Interactive (drumdigital.com) includes terrific features, many with links to instructional videos and lessons:
How to play the greatest soul grooves of the Seventies
Mike Novak: The heavy hitter behind Every Time I Die
Life on the Road with Hatebreed
Achieving the Perfect Snare Sound in the Studio
How to play "Walking Disaster" by Sum 41's Steve Jocz
Five complete lessons in the “Practice Pad” section
The issue also includes profiles of Chris Pennie (Coheed And Cambria), John Boecklin (DevilDriver, and Chuck Treece (McRad). Readers also have the opportunity to check out the latest gear since there are links to ads.
Issues of DRUM! Interactive are released monthly on the last day of the cover date of DRUM! Magazine.

Thanks for all of the kind suggestions regarding the problem I had last week with my 8 track. The pin in the little hole worked to remove the existing CD but unfortunately I think I should have come in hear earlier as it looks like my own abortive efforts ruined the drive. I've dropped the recorder over to a friend in the hope that he can retrieve my demo of "That's It I've Had Enough". Sorry I missed the cut off date. Couldn't make the radio show either but I'm slowly catching up on the entries in the listening room.
While I'm waiting to get that track back, thought I'd post another track from the acoustic session I did last December. A lot of mixposure people will have heard the original version of "Mid Life Crisis" from my CD "N.I.C" which I had posted at mix. I've tried to convert it into an acoustic version. Without the bass, drums and keyboard, and without a guitar solo, it probably needs a middle 8, so I'll try working on that.
Apologies for any glitches in the performance. It was a "one take" and it's not a song that I normally do live in acoustic sets. Hopefully a bit of fun, particularly for those in my "age demographic".
Cheers and thanks again for all the earlier suggestions.
Brian

reaper and I both know and love santana and malo.. the band of carlos' guitar playing younger brother jorge.. so we thought we'd blend our voices and guitars together.. jingo style.. rick's awesome track, bass, lead vocals and guitar really made my job easy.. thanks partner..
THAT'S IT, I'VE HAD ENOUGH!
cheers to all you fellow song writers who have contributed.. I've heard nothing but great music from almost everyone.. thanks dazed for the fun.. the title turned out to be an awesome one.. so many emotional views expressed.. this place is the best..
well uh sorry but you know rapster.. just a footnote here to say IMO all who enter and get reviewed but don't review back.. don't really deserve to be in.. it's really about all doin something together.. isn't it? or is it just to win?.. cheers..
I always get THE BEST stuff in "reviews" when I do a CRAZY song. You guys are huge fun!
SO: I'll answer a few questions about my wacko "that's it" song here:
1) yes, I was off my meds
2) no, the straight jacket wasn't too tight... it was too loose, how da ya thing I got out??
5) I'm only in the cage at night... the rest of the time the lo-jack thing on my ankle has to do
11.4) Yes, my wife has a number on speed-dial for the guys with the white coats and tranq darts
3.8) as long as you do that kind of vocal softly and right ON the mic, it's not too painful.
4B) Yes, this is the Christmas card I got from my Uncle T. He sends a new pic of himself to all of his relatives every year.. very vain of him don't ya think? He says I have his ears, but that's a lie, I got the ones in my jar from the crash site, and he wasn't on that one.
Thanks folks !!
