I’m an aspiring Hip Hop artist, song writer and producer. Music has always been my passion and now it is finally my priority. I was recently released from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, after 11 years of incarceration. I was convicted as a master mind in a string of armed bank robberies. As a product of my inner city environment, I partook in the gangs, drug sales, and other parts of the fast lane. Now days I work 2 fulltime jobs just to ensure my freedom and ability to keep working on my music.

WITH MY MUSIC…I wanted to demonstrate ability to adjust to any rhythm and lyricism. I believe that I offer just the skills, ambition, and drive to make a difference in lives of music lovers all over the world. I am eager to use my ability to hear music and write lyrics based on the sound it generates. I spent the last 12 years of my life perfecting and creating many lyric, unfortunately, I didn’t not have the means of creating beats until I was released from FBOP in October of 2009.

I am musically creative, well spoken, and enthusiastic. I recently have begun to produce my own beats and find that to be another rewarding way to communicate or express myself. Since music has always been one of my greatest passions in life. On a personal note, being a bi-racial person has caused me to prove myself in different spaces and places. I understand this industry is a hustle not much different than the ones I’ve grownup doing. Furthermore, this is the hustle I can do 24/7 without fear of the feds indicting me for hustling to hard. In conclusion, all I want is the opportunity to make the “underdog” a “champion” and inspire multitudes.

I appreciate your listening ear and full consideration.

Country may not be as prolific of a genre as rock at Mixposure but it's still a good genre. The JMZ band isn't a full blown country band but we do delve into the genre once in a while when it calls. When We Make Love is a country ballad that called.

We hope the country fans here enjoy it!

The JMZ Band

http://www.mixposure.com/index.php?t=mixposure_song_player&song_id=26833&band_id=7100

Congratulations to Tommie Brewster for being our December Artist of the month!

From Tommie's Bio:

Background!!

I have been a musician all my life and cannot remember a time

when I didn’t play piano. I started before I was 4 years old

and studied classical music at the Royal Academy of Music

in London, playing several other instruments also.

At home, my influences were many from jazz to ragtime, from

swing to reggae, from rock to heavy metal but it was always

blues that spoke loudest to me in my heart and soul and it was

always my dream to write, play and sing my own blues music.

Every musician absorbs influences and I am no exception, but I do

not knowingly emulate or imitate anyone – I just write my blues

the way I hear it in my heart and my head.

I also had a dream to produce my own music which I have now

achieved and with the help of some very professional final

mastering I am pleased with the finished product. I write

my music in the oldfashioned way, on manuscript and the lyrics

come to me along with the melody as a complete package.

I record also in as authentic a way as I can – no samples,

loops, tweaks – if I make a mistake in playing the piano part, then

I start at the beginning and do it all again!!

I play piano, sax, clarinet, harmonica, organ and a few other things.
