This one is called San Francisco Daze and it's brand new. I finished it last evening and it's a different style from me. It's a bit of guitar over indulgence on my part but that's sort of the idea or theme of the song. The late 1960's S.F. concerts were filled with never ending, loud guitar solos, lol. I've had this idea for some time now of writing a song that captured my youthful travels to San Francisco to hear some of the great bands and musicians of the 60's. The likes of Jefferson Airplane, Janice Joplin with Big Brother and the Holding Company, Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana plus more. Besides needing to see if my fingers and mind still had those jammin' capabilities, this is my interpretation of those days and that S.F. rock sound of the 60's. It was all recorded and mixed on my Fostex VF160. The guitars are an OLP MM1, a Squire Jagmaster, and Jazz bass. The amps are a Crate V-5 and a Mustang I. The drums are from a Zoom MRT3 machine.

I hope you enjoy my flashback.....Cheers!

Farrell

http://www.mixposure.com/index.php?t=mixposure_song_player&song_id=25508&band_id=991

I just thought I would let you guys know that I am working on a new album called "Red Guitar". My goal is for these songs to be true country. In the last album I seem to have strayed somewhat but I hope to remedy that on this one.

This album will also include a couple of songs that I would say are more of a patriotic theme, although the whole album won't be. I am not at all happy about the current state of what is going on right now with the United States and some of that will come through on a couple of songs, but without being political. I hate politics.

On other songs, I hope to get back to real country music that I love. But, again, there won't be any fancy studios or full band on most of them. Just 'lil 'ol me.
