One Armed Bilbozo - Bummer

Well.. It's curtains for me. I took a nasty spill on some ice over the weekend going down my steep driveway and ripped all the ligaments in my shoulder. Doc says I am out of commission with the guitar for at least a month maybe even two. For me that's too long. I just wanted to hear if anyone has any suggestions on how I can keep producing music. I can kind of play keys a bit and run software but the guitar is out of the question. I tried it today and I was screaming in pain.

I just feel pretty empty without my main instrument. But I know it's best not to try and push it, proper healing takes time. Two months seems to come as a shock. Who knows, maybe you may hear me make some Dubstep, Trance or Dance in FL Studio or something like that. LOL.

OR perhaps I can do something like this guys does...incredible ! I really want to continue so any advice would be awesome. Thanks guys - Bilbozo ( Now known temporarily as "Lefty)

Their tune What Ya Do To Me is just a great tune and has the hook that makes it stick out. Shaken but not stirred

By Nighthawk, 2011-02-25

Okay with the second devasting Earthquake hitting Christchurch we are off to help our friends and family in Christchurch... with water supplies, food, gas cookers and all that.

As before hearts and preyers go out to those that still have loved ones missing and those that have lost.

Those that don't know this earthquake while was only 6.3, it was only 5km deep and was centred on the city and only 10km from down town... being so shallow it causes more lateral movement... also with the buildings already weakened by the 7.1 last year and the continous after shocks it was enough to cause major damage and this time loss of life.

I would also like to thank all the countries that have offered support for my country men... and hope we find a friend that is missing...

New Zealand is not a large country and simply doesn't have the resourses at hand, but we are usually offering our help when other coutries are in need and is heartening and humbling to see it in return thank-you.

Kia Kaha - Be Strong

Cd update

By urgevictormusic, 2011-02-24

Good day music lovers. My new CD is coming along great. Instead of doing all of the instruments myself, i’ve got some cool katts playing with me. For those of you that speak spanish, i will be doin a spanish version on some songs. I’ve got someone working on the vocal translation right now. By doing this, the Cd is now going to be a double cd. I’ve played in Latin rock, funk, r&b and jazz bands so i thought the spanish variation would be cool. As always be patient with me on getting back to you. As this project unfolds i will next be working on a new band and perfomance venues and will let you know when and where that will be. Be cool. Peace.

Who's The Winner?

By Rob Grant, 2011-02-24
Who's The Winner?

DrC - all keyboards and mix production.

Rob Grant - bass guitar.

Gary Carciello - all guitars, drums programming, and original song idea.

Farrell Jackson - lyric, melody, and all vocals.

About the song:

We seem to be on a song a month schedule. Who's The Winner is the third completed Rayon Vert song in as many months. I think that's pretty good given the complexity of the songs, all of our busy schedules, and considering we live thousands of miles from one another.

About the lyric:

This set of lyric is a recognition of sorts to Gerry Rafferty who passed away January 4th, 2011 from liver failure. 63 is way too young to die. He was a great songwriter with a great voice.

We hope you like RV's new song, Who's The Winner?

Farrell Jackson for Rayon Vert
