With a wide range of influences including such diverse bands as Paramore, Anberlin , Lupe Fiasco, Evanescence and Lacuna Coil, the members of the Empire bring their vastly different backgrounds and interests in music together in a way that is interesting and very original. This distinctive sound, created by the genre crossing combination of vocalists Shaka, Vuoche and Shauna, is backed with a thundering solid backbone, produced by guitarists Jamie and Steve, bassist Matt and drummer Ignacio.

The last year has been one of grueling practice and recording sessions and has highlighted Brave Empire member’s commitment and dedication to taking on the task of breaking out into the mainstream music scene. They are realistic about the challenges and ready to meet them head on. The band are a hard working no nonsense unit backed by a team that includes experienced industry professionals, all with one solid focused aim. We all want to get this young group in front as many new fans as possible.

The independently produced album ‘A New Era’ clearly demonstrates the Empire’s musical and lyrical strengths and versatility. Catchy songs like ‘Lovin’ you’, ‘Where we belong’ and ‘Set me free’ allow the listener to see the emotive side of the band. Others, for example ‘Nightmares’ and ‘Gladiator’, are examples of the tough rock sound that definitively sets ‘Brave Empire’ apart from the rest of the latest crop of talent. Two songs from the album are currently in video production and we will have supporting High Definition video material available for TV and online promotion pre-release.

All the music and lyrics for ‘A New Era’ were written and composed by the 7 members of Brave Empire. “We like to share the writing. We mostly write our own lyrics but are open to helping each other out to tie it all together”. The songs lyrics speak about being a young person today. Love and dreams, hopes and fears and the challenges of being a teen in this ever changing world. Many pieces contain positive inspiring idea’s, however the writers are not afraid to tackle confronting issues and cover topics relevant to modern youth. The words contained in tracks like ‘Disturbed’ and ‘Set me Free’ speak about the repercussions of drug use and a life gone wrong on the streets.

‘A New Era’ is due for release in late 2009.

With a powerful debut album set for release, videos in production, a groundbreaking new sound and a burning passion for music, it is fair to say that the sky is the limit for Brave Empire.

I'm about to finish my first album next month. " Self Learning " that will include the 3 tracks I have on this website. If you like Electronic music.....

Well, I've been a part of this site for several years now. I remember when we had no Artist pages. All the activity took place in the forum. I have always promised myself that my main goal would be to share my art with listeners. Reviews although nice has always been on the bottom of my list. I know now that I am sadly in the minority so I am taking a self imposed hiatus from the artists pages. I wish everyone here all my best and send each and everyone all my love. This has been no easy desicion for me to make. I've spent many sleepless nights pondering this move. Todd runs a great site, he wants nothing but the best for every member here and has always treated me like gold. All my love and respect to each and every person here!

God bless

Gabriel

This time the new track goes with a video clip:

Zeropage - Hyper Threading
A dance/trance track with a touch of chill-out...

In the video clip you can meet "Zerobold", a funny guy that jumped out of my 3D software. He has a little dance performance in the clip. Don't expect too much, because i'm not a pro in 3D character animation... anyway, it dances!

Huh. Figured I may as well post this up, because it really is a cool piece of info that I learned on my own, minus all the fancy stuff that you see in a real manual... This is just an excerpt from two posts on Soundclick, but it does the job.

Thomas J wrote:

right, here's a question, is there a way to import a sample into the bit at the bottom where the recorded stuff goes? i'm sure i should probably rtfm but i don't wanna.

Me:

Are you talking about the playlist thing? (F5)

If so, load the sample like you normally would, (right click a channel, then select insert -> Audio clip -> Find said audio clip)

Then when it's loaded, click it so that the window for the channel appears, and drag the wave form (You know, that graph looking thing at the bottom. I don't really know what it's called... I happen to ride the short bus when it comes to terminology for shit... then drop it into the playlist. Now you don't have to manually set the note to C(5? Is it C5? Or is it C4? C3? It's one of those 3.) and 100% volume, then 75% velocity.

It's gonna play a little louder than it's supposed to when you load it up to the playlist, there should be a new audio channel exactly like the one you have loaded, but instead of a desaturated purple, it's closer to grey. That's the channel for the audio you've loaded into the playlist. I think it plays louder than it should because it might be defaulting to 100% velocity? But anyway. 66% volume seems to work for me, or 60%, can't remember, haven't used that function since Finality....

The advantage here is that you can skim it like a regular audio clip, rather than having to start at the beginning of the sample every time as with the purple channel.

... I don't read manuals either... xD. Except for my LS-10. Damn you Olympus and your advanced technology. Why can't I just hit record? Noooo. You have to hit record TWICE. I still don't get how their Zoom Mic works either. Nor do I get why I can only use it with the crappy 44khz mode.

EDIT: Oh wait! I did use that recently. The entire intro to Anti-Realitat was an audio clip. D'oh.
