Each album, Deeyah explains, is a journey through traditional music forms as expressed through women’s voices and women’s artistry, and is an exploration of women’s experiences and circumstances, drawing attention to women’s position in the world today, their accomplishments, struggles and the barriers they still face.

“It was natural for me to start the series with a tribute to women’s creativity in the place I was born. Growing up in a Nordic country, and seeing what was possible for women to achieve, has not only formed an essential part of my artistic perspective, but has informed my own personal commitment to women’s rights”, said Deeyah, ‘so the first release in this series had to be Nordic Woman.’

The Artists

The artists featured on the Nordic Woman album are Lena Willemark, Mari Boine, Annbjørg Lien, Bára Grímsdóttir, Tuva Livsdatter Syvertsen, Suden Aika, Valravn, Unni Løvlid, Kirsten Bråten Berg, Adjágas, Ragga Gröndal & The Icelandic Folk Ensemble, Phønix, MeNaiset, Garmarna, Heiða Árnadóttir, SUO, Ranarim and Tone Hulbækmo.

Musical Activism

Produced in collaboration with Grappa Musikkforlag, the foremost independent music company in Norway, Nordic Woman is the debut production from Deeyah’s own Fuuse Mousiqi, a music company with a social conscience, borne out of the union of her two deepest passions – music and activism. As well as being an acclaimed music producer, Deeyah is a prize-winning activist, well-known for her outspoken support for non-violence, women’s rights and freedom of expression. A classically trained singer from the age of seven, Deeyah has since broadened her creative expression into film-making and digital media initiatives, all underwritten by a passionate commitment to human rights and social activism. ‘Women’s voices, and women’s experiences, remain crucial to the continued progression towards full equality in all societies. The WOMAN series is my way of honouring and celebrating women and a personal voyage through the indigenous and traditional music of their lands’ explains Deeyah.

More information please contact Vicky Berry vicky@quitegreat.co.uk and Sibel Arzulu publicity3@quitegreat.co.uk

01223844440

www.deeyah.com

www.grappa.no

www.fuuse-mousiqi.com

Starlight Theatre is the hotly tipped Australian Rock/Pop Group of four best friends, and with their exciting EP launched at the end of 2011, The Window, going straight to the top ten in iTunes Rock charts, and performing the single by request on national television in a prime time morning slot, 2012 looks like a promising year for the band.

The independent band has been compared to U2 & Coldplay, and Australian music magazine Triple M described them as ‘a band to watch over the next year’ due to their ability to sell out venues and from constructing a solid fan base over the last 12 months. With a successful run of shows from Melbourne to Brisbane, Bass player Josh Belz promises fans that ‘this is the band as you would hear it live’.

They hope to further outdo the successes of 2011, which saw their single ‘How Long’ being played on over 40 radio stations around Australia, while the corresponding film clip was showcased on ABC’s ‘Rage’ program. The increased media exposure propelled the band into an opening slot at Skilled Park Stadium, further developing their reputation as a class live act. Whatever happens, the future is certainly looking bright for Starlight Theatre!

‘Window’ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPsuezJKiqY

For More information please contact Sibel Arzulu on publicity3@quitegreat.co.uk and Vicky berry on vicky@quitegreat.co.uk 01223 844440

Website: http://www.starlighttheatremusic.com/Facebook : http://www.facebook.com/StarlightTheatre

My Space www.myspace.com/starlighttheatremusic/ www.youtube.com/starlighttheatreband

Release date: 24th September

“It’s glorious. It’s wonderful. It’s warm. It’s funky. It’s the balls….”

Ankit Love is a theatrical and fantastical independent recording artist based in London. His
debut album “Forever” channels seventies disco flamboyance, fusing the melodic baselines
and syncopated rhythms of funk with the energy and vibrancy of contemporary dance
music. His style echoes his varied taste in music; his music is a beautiful and effulgent
combination of The Rah Band, Crown Heights Affair, Space Bass, and bands like Daft Punk
and Crookers.

Love masterfully fuses the spirituality and depth of India with the sunshine and energy of
California, a musical tour de force that melds funk, soul, rock, hip hop and dance. Love and
his eccentric, upbeat and unique style have already taken America by storm with his
album “Forever” which was played on 130 college radio stations, while the single Beethoven Burst
triumphed as the No.1 hit on the MTV Hive top 100 chart and also reached number 28 in the
US Radio FMQB charts, and earning him a spot on VH1’s “Fresh new Music: January 2012”.

His music is “scientific and spiritual”, drawing on personal memories and self discovery; his
experience of a potentially fatal car crash in a Dodge Viper at 160 miles per hour on a Los
Angeles freeway has clearly left him eager to live life to the full; undeterred he went on to become
an amateur race car driver. A man of many skills his self directed featured documentary about the

making of the Beethoven Burst music video was premiered at the Cannes film festival.

You only need to watch this vibrant music video, which won a Silver Lei Award at the
Honolulu Film Awards, to understand why he has been described as “this generation’s Ziggy
Stardust”. The video is a disco version of classic sci-fi films embracing the surrealism of
Kubrick’s Space Odyssey and the excitement of Star Trek. Ankit Love is a fun, exciting and
fresh artist and his album is the perfect summer soundtrack.

<a href="Ankit Love - Beethoven Burst (Original Mix) Extended Film; target="_blank">Ankit Love - Beethoven Burst (Original Mix) Extended Film;

Jesus died for our sins, this is just a little joke, please do not take this seriously. As Jesus was on the cross he pissed himself, and shit himself. Jesus said to the thief on the cross besides him, Today you will be in paradise, some have it said he died for himself, and so they call him Jibes Hyson Christ. In the bible we have many man written stories, are they really true? This is the question at hand. If man can not be trusted, then how do we know man stated the truth so long ago. Here is my twisted version of the story of Mosses on the mountain with the ten commandments. Mosses was up on the mountain, when a magical hand of pure blue fire scratched upon a stone slab. Thunder uttered like a voice of God, saying, and I quote, take these ten commandments of mine down to the people of Israel, so they may obey them, and follow them. In my point to express the stuff the bible does not say, like did mosses masturbate, did he take a piss on the dirt, on the mountain. Was mosses sad, depressed, excited, or angry. How come the bible does not explain the raw details? I will tell you why, because man is full of faults, so the bible can not be perfect at all, some of it is true, but man tells lies, just like Satan does. The bible says none is good no not one, so how can something that is good write down the truth. Why are children born retarded, why is war ok, but murder is not. If God does not change his mind, then why does Jesus, and God command different things. God says an eye for an eye, Jesus says turn the other cheek, if Jesus is 100% God, and 100% man, then why does he change his mind over the years, from A.C, to B.C. This just does not make sense. If God is a fare, and just God then he would not send a person to hell, if they have not heard the written words of another man, that says it is from Gods mouth, come on who are you fooling. Christians will go by a faith, that was created by mankind for the salvation of mankind. This sounds like a good idea, but it is proved to be only a myth. Seeing is not always believing, but I would rather see, then just get information, that was passed down, from and old scroll, and call it the truth. I do believe there is a God, but he is different then the Christian example of his spiritual being. Here is an example, can also make up stuff, and call it the truth, write it down, and thousands of years from not, it will be dug up, and lived. Who are you fooling not me, when is Jesus coming back. The Christians have been expecting him since before the nineteen hundreds. My point is use your judgment don’t trust mans. The lost commandments number eleven, thou shall not make bombs, number twelve thou shall not, smoke cigarettes, number thirteen thou shall not play video games, shall I continue, see my point. None of the past biblical philosophers new anything of our current technology, and you choose to trust them.

Youtube.com video link

<param name="src" value="Why the bible is not all True width="350" height="300" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="Why the bible is not all True; wmode="transparent">

<a href="Why the bible is not all True;

Jessica was twelve years old, and lived in a small town in the southern state of Mississippi. Jessica family was very poor, they had Pratley nothing, Jessica had two brothers, and one sister. Jessica dad would work very hard to provide his family with meals every day, and Jessica‘s mother worked very hard to cook the meals. Little Jessica wanted so bad to have more toys, and other stuff to play with, but Jessica’s family just could not afford it. Jessica would get on her knees every night, and pray to Jesus, Dear Mr. Jesus could you please bless my dad, and mom, and my brothers, and my sisters with just a little more, thank you Jesus amen. In another city in the state of California, lived a boy named Sam. Sam was the same age as Jessica, Sam was also twelve. Sam was from a wealthy family unlike Jessica, but Sam’s dad was very abusive. Sam’s dad would get drunk, and beat the living shit out of him when he came home from work every day. Sam was an only child, and his mother died giving birth to him. Sam would get on his knees every night, and would pray to Jesus, Jesus please give me a soft heart, help my dad to find your love, please Jesus stop the endless pain, my dad feels thank you Jesus amen. My name is doctor Michael Stratton, I wanted to express a two sided coin scenario for you. On one side you have a poor little girl named Jessica, who would like more, and on the other side you have a rich boy named Sam who would like less. The two children have more in common then they can ever imagine. Less is more, and more is less, but they both cry out to Jesus. In good times, and bad times Jesus is going to be there for you, all you have to do is call out his holy name. He that asks shall receive, he who knocks, the door shall be opened. Life for me has not been easy, I have made so many damn mistakes, I have so much pain, and have beat my head angst the wall in frustration. I have had so many broken relationship, but I have one thing in common with Jessica, and Sam, I too cry out to Jesus at night. Saying “Lord give me wisdom, put your angel’s around me, my friends, and family. Bring healing to our hearts mind body, and soul. Forgive us our sins, you are my God, Lord, Savior, and King. Thank you Jesus Lord God amen.”
