Wow what a relief. I forgot what standing up for 10 hours was like lol. I had a great time and met some incredible people. One thing is for sure, musicians definitely walk to the beat of a different drummer.

It was great to be working with Frank from Stratage Guitars and talking music with him and his son Jeff. He is also fine musician and has a page on Mixposure as well. Not to mention how cool it was that their wives made the trip out to Dallas.

I finally had the chance to play a Stratage Guitar and was immediately impressed. We shot a video explaining the guitar that I hope will be posted soon. I also walked the entire Dallas Guitar Festival on Saturday morning about 2 hours before the event started and shot video of almost every booth. The bad news is it was nearly a 4gb video in high definition. So I am converting it down and will get it posted tomorrow most likely.

A few thanks are in order!! I need to thank WildCherry for pushing me to do this show. You were right. I had a great time. Also a big thanks to Gary Hart for his artwork on the vinyl Mixposure Banner for the show. We had business cards printed with the design that WildHoneyPie created with a little help from one of Blake's images. Bilbozo and Buddrumming own a printing company and I had them make a bunch of them for the show. All of you did a fantastic job and were such a big help in getting this off the ground. Finally a huge thanks to Frank from Stratage Guitars and his family for all the work that went into the show!

If you were at the show and are visiting Mixposure for the first time, welcome to the site! Please let us know if you have any questions!

Dazed

"...Zeroking fits the scene, like rivets to sheet metal!"

25 Oct 2009, 17:03

Just wanted to post an excerpt from a live concert review, 3 years back.

Zeroking LIVE! 80's rock/metal/Just Plain Kick-ass Metal, from Huntington, W.V.

"...Zeroking fits the scene, like rivets to sheet metal!

Jalon and I arrived a bit early and found ourselves a seat with the guys from Further Lo band and the place was getting packed already. "So this is where all you, Ohio party animals hang out?!?!"

First up was Zeroking, kicking off with one of our favorite songs from them, Celebrity.

Lead vocalist Andy Haught, is very accomplished and proved he can dish out the same caliber of performance live, as on their CD. Wow! This band really understands pleasing the crowd!

Drugs Will Keep Us Together, was most likely the crowd favorite song from them. This song speaks volumes about the social interaction of some narcotics and speaks more about the musical abilities of these four, West Virginia wild men.

Shane Day is varacious and nimble on lead axe and drummer Chris Webb is a magnum force, sweat and guts drummer! When it comes to bass guitars, JP Boggs fits the perfect profile. For a band that sort of fell together, while performing in other projects, this foursome made a match from metal heaven and we can really dig them!

The crowd was still getting larger, as more patrons arrived and found themselves a place to stand. All seats were taken by this time and it was still early in the evening.

Next came the free Jagermeister shots-courtesy of Zeroking-delivered with a high powered squirt gun, direct from stage to mouth! The parties on now friends!!

"Jalon is right up in that shizzle, getting his shots in. I am trying to stay on focus and keep up the typing on this laptop, while wishing I could get my fun on too. Oh well, the bands deserve this and more, so it's well worth it in the end."

Zeroking kept the music coming for their set and gave the crowd one hell of great show!

Overall, Zeroking are a force to be reckoned with. A 5 star act with a promising future ahead of them....."

You can now check out Zeroking here @ LastFM as well as @ My Space

Zeroking @ LastFM

ZeroKing @ MySpace
