Hi there everyone!

Thanks for the positive comments we got so far. As all of you will know, getting the time to write and record music is the biggest headache, we've got about 5 half-finished songs here needing a few solid days work - but no solid days to give!

Some of you may know me from the Cakewalk forums (i'm mgh there), so here's some gear info: Sonar 7PE, i use a Soundcraft Compact 4 mixer into an Echo Audiofire 2 soundcard. I have Behringer Truth monitors and some Sennheiser phones. I play guitar (Washburn X200 Pro and Ibanez RG370 DX, Crafter FX550eq, Fender Precision and Vox Ad50VT) and piano (Casio Privia PX700). Steve writes the lyrics and sings. I use CW synths like z3ta+ and also IK Sonic Synth and Sampletank, NI GUitar Rig 2 and Ozone 3. Right boring stuff over - i'll be taking a listen to some tunes by other people on here now...

Hi all,

I just recently joined the site and am looking forward to finding more of the already great music I am hearing on here. I'm a singer songwriter from Nova Scotia, Canada, and I mostly do online collaboration these days with musicians from all over the globe, and I love it! My musical interests range from rock to pop to blues, jazz, acoustic, electric, psychedelic, and more. I just feel that good music is good music. I've begun learning the ins and outs of home recording and production. I use an AKG C 3000 B microphone, an Edirol UA-25, Ableton Live software, and mountains of good advice from some of the artists I work closely with. I'm enamoured with the world of online collaboration and independant music from everywhere and every background. Though I'm currently not seeking any new collaborative partners, simply due to the fact that I'm so busy now as it is, I still look forward to hearing some great tunes and getting to know some cool people.

Have just returned from Vietnam, having studiously avoided the place in the late 60's early 70's for reasons that will be obvious.

Started writing a song over there dedicated to the cyclos and motor-cycle taxis who incessantly demand "one hour, one hour". The song took a twist on the last night there, but I won't repeat what I've already included in the song information.

It's cheesy, but hopefully fun. Planning to tidy up the vocals a little next time in the studio, but don't plan on adding much else. Had thought of adding some ac or elec piano but tend to think it's better kept simple. Same with harmonies. If you disagree or have some other ideas, don't be bashful, let me know.

Good to be back.

Cheers

Brian
