As most of you will know, Joseph is a multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter, noted for his superb guitarwork.
Joseph Rodriquez was born and raised in Ponce, P.R. in a close-knit family. His father was a musician in the school band so it was natural that Joseph was a musician from the day he was born. At the age of 6 years old, music was no longer promoted in school so Joseph made his own music by drumming with pencils on his desk. At the age of 10 his father exposed him to the music of Tito Puente and Tito Rodriguez which caught Joseph's interest. A year later his father bought him a drum set and Joseph began to practice. At the age of 15 he became a member of a band called The Freedom Brothers which played the music of Three Dog Night and other popular bands of the time. It was at this time that Joseph decided to master the guitar. His mother was also taking guitar lessons so she showed him his first chords which he practiced day after day in his bedroom. Joseph was also greatly influenced by the bands he saw in the Woodstock Festival documentary which drove him to practice more and more.
He has collaborated with countless other artists over the years and is always ready to lend a hand to flesh out other people's projects. He has even been a DJ for mixstream radio.
Currently, he continues to work with other artists, but has focused a good deal of his efforts into the band Kingstorm.
I am sure you will agree with us that this accolade is well deserved and that you will join us in congratulating Joseph on this achievement.

Hall Of Fame Artist Mike Olson (AXE) and Song Of The Month Gerry Young Rock And Roll Beach!!! March 2026
By JimsAE, 2026-03-02
Mike Olson (Axe) has been a part of Mixposure for a very long time, as a member of the amazing project Ariel's Attic, a solo project and as Mixposure DJ! A guitarist, keyboard player, drummer and assorted other instruments, Mike is a real creative force. For a very long time, Mike also co-hosted radio shows with me, adding "color commentary" to many evenings and provided much needed insight to how we presented our shows. Now, Mike is doing his own show on Mixposure on Friday Nights, and it's a great, great show. It's high time he was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
