New Band Name and update on latest song

By T-Bone-BBQ, 2010-10-24

I have changed my Artist name from "T-Bone-BBQ" to "Righteous Blues Band". I'm still a one-man band, but I hope that will change in the future.

I should have the vocals on my latest song "Time's Up" this evening and will hopefully get the final mixed down version of it up later on the artist page tonight or sometime tomorrow. Then it's on to starting the next song...not sure which one I'll start working on yet.

Mista Perez, TLT50 and Bilbozo came up with a collaboration "Tower of Power" Funk-Style tune by the name of "Crazy Situation". Shake that thang vibe, 70's style funk with a cool contemporary twist. The 3 of us had a great time putting this one together. Many thanks to Mistah Perez for the great lyrics and vocals and the keyboard wizardry of Larry T. ( TLT50 ). This was one of the funnest collabs I ever had the pleasure of being part of. Such great talents you both convey, bros & pros. We hope you all enjoy this tune. October Updates

By Admin, 2010-10-23

Repost from the newsletter but I will post it in case anyone has questions or comments.

As most of you are aware, we wanted to expand Mixposure a bit and put in some additional features. One of the things we will be adding in this week is a Product Review Area. I have been testing it over the last few days and I think it will be pretty cool. You will have the ability to write a product review on any gear you own and rate it accordingly. This will help out our existing members for making purchases or staying away from products that you think just suck. Now the cool thing about this is that with a few modifications to this code, we should be able to make a pretty sweet For Sale Area where you can sell your gear.

Per our last message, we are still looking for some writers! I received a bunch of questions on this so I was probably not as clear as I should have been. By writers, we are looking for the equivalent of Magazine Writers/Authors. Have a passion about the music industry? Want to share that passion? Maybe you work in the industry and have suggestions to help artists break into the industry? Do you work as an audio engineer and want to share your mixing and mastering skills? Do you attend a lot of concerts and would like to review them? We have many musicians on here with a wealth of knowledge. We are looking for members to share that knowledge once or twice a month. What is your passion? Want to share it? Hopefully this answers any questions you may have. If you are interested, please message me at admin@mixposure.com and let me know what your ideas are. We are really open to the idea of musical content in general and I feel we have so much expertise on Mixposure that we do not need to look external.

Thanks!

Dazed

Wrapping Up New Ambient New Age Album Due In Dec.

Hi all!

I have just finished mastering tracks for a new compilation of ambient new age music, which will drop ahead of my R&B album (which is slated for early next year). This new collection is entitled 'Memories Of You' and was put together to honor my biggest fan and confidante, my late father. As many of my siblings were eager for me to put together something to honor him, it took me awhile to create tracks that I know would have pleased him immensely.

I decided to go back to CDBaby for distribution (after trying some other distributors for my last two releases). They are simply the best in my opinion, even if they are owned by Discmakers now. I much rather enjoyed working with Derek Sivers' business model instead of some corporate entity. Some of the folks who purchased my CD's there would prefer CD's as opposed to mp3's, so there will be a limited edition of them available.

This is a pretty long winded blog but what the hey. I also wanted to say that I truly enjoy Mixposure, and the vast amount of talent here.
