Something different from Rayon Vert, as Doctor C introduced me to Edgar Allan Poe's poetry. That DOC C is a "Classic" dude, as some of you may know. His influence has been very high on me, that's for sure. The last song I sent him was to be metal prog and it turned out to be......."ULALUME". He turned me all around on this with his keyboards, musical additions, arranging, mixing, and engineering. Farrell Jackson added acoustic guitars, Gary Carciello added his electric guitar work and Doc had me doing the vocal, as well as my bass part.

I hope you enjoy a musical poem by Edgar Allan Poe and Rayon Vert.

Rob G

http://www2.mixposure.com/RAYON_VERT/song_focus_16633.php

Mixposure has a New Forum for Video !
When the Monkees TV Show premiered back in 1966, they were probably unaware of what they really started. Incorporating their music into "mini-movies" with sketches is consider by many to be the first music videos ever aired. Then MTV started a whole new music video revolution back in the 80's. Does anyone still watch that channel? Anyway now we have YouTube sweeping the world as a music medium and it is something we all need to start doing hence the creation of this forum.
Gary Hart asked us to add this forum and I am sad to say we should have done it years ago. I think this is a great opportunity for everyone to use this forum to start producing their own music videos. If you are an expert, fantastic I know we could use your help. If you are a beginner, you can still create videos very easily.
Thanks for the heads up Gary. I am looking forward to this forum!!

It's been a while since I've been around. I just don't seem to have much down time anymore. Due to the economic downturn, my company closed my store and moved me into sales. I'm thankful I still have a job at this point, but it requires much more attention due to the fact that I'm in a learning mode. I'm also in the middle of recording a new album featuring some of my songs from the last two years, including "That's It" from the Same Song Title Madness from last year. I'm working with Paul Russell, Calamity Studios in Singapore, Thailand and Cass Anawaty, Sunbreak Studios in Oregon. Both are top notch at what they do and after my trip to Oregon in December to do the vocal tracks, I am very excited about where this is headed. We're planning a national release around March/April timeframe. In addition to the album, my band Red Velvet Mojo is starting to gain some traction in Atlanta. We've been able to land some gigs over the past couple of months and have two more scheduled in the near future. You can check our site www.redvelvetmojo.com for show schedule and links to our Myspace site and Facebook page. On top of all that, add in a wife and 5 beautiful daughters who have many, many activities which require attention, my life is quite busy right now. Hopefully things will settle down a bit this summer and I'll be able to participate more. Just wanted to say hey to everbody at Mixposure, I haven't forgotten you!
